I'm looking at getting some morettes with HID. Scoobysport do them but they are an extra £400.
Been looking at Demon Tweeks and they sell a 90mm HID for £282
does anyone know the lense sizes of morettes or if this could be fitted to morettes,( can I just use the HID parts and remove them from lamp to fit in the morettes)
Thanks in avdance

The answer is it depends on whether the model you are talking of uses a standard HID capsule (most likely, in which case the answer is no) or one modified to fit a standard H4 mount (in which case the answer is yes).
Was the lamp in their catalogue, or have you got a url for it?

Thanks for the info Duncan, yes they are in the catalogue page 116(no url) but as Alcazar says they are indeed £282 each.
Why are these things so expensive
Looks like scoobysport it is then.

Spot on (no pun intended) these are indeed the same as P1 driving lights.

Even if the 90's were cheap, you couldn't use them in place of your dipped beam as they don't have a beam cut off. You would blind everyone.
HID is still very expensive as Philips (or is it Hella) have a patent on it. Whatever make it is, the patent holder get a nice fee.
Although they are expensive, consider that the gas capsules will last for over 100,000 miles of normal driving and the light output is better than anything halogen. Not just the brightness and distance, but the wavelength of the light.
