Default Blobeye Dash Bulbs

Hey guys

A couple of questions (I'm scared of the answer to #1) for you.

1. How difficult is it to replace dash bulbs? The one behind my tach has gone. I am mechanically retarded so would need help from a mech friend or garage.

2. What bulbs does it take?

Easy enough.

A couple of screws in the upper inside edge of the binnacle (the surround of the instruments).

Then three or four that hold the instruments in place, use a driver with a decent magnetic bit so as not to drop screws into the dash.

Then pull instruments forward, squeeze the tangs on the wiring clips and disconnect, and wriggle the instruments out.

They are most likely W5W, but there may be one halogen in yours, best to replace the whole lot at once so as not to have to do it again in a hurry.

Once they are out, removing the bulb will show you what it is and any decent car place, even Halfords, , will supply.

Thanks. Maybe I'll see if I can confirm bulbs before taking my dash apart. Sadly no parts place near me, not even a Helfrauds.

No motor factors? No Motosave?

www.yell.com, enter car parts, or motor factors. The local garages must get their parts from someone?
