If the battery is not under warranty then I am looking to replace it. What is the most powerful battery that will fit without modification in the P1. The problem is I don't use it enough and the battery can't take the continued drain and recharging.

Thanks

Not sure about the battery thing, i would however guess at £60+.
I do believe there is a device which you plug from the mains into the *** lighter which continuously tops up the battery when the car is not in use. I'm sure someone will know more about it that me!
How can you own a P1 and not use it much, i would live in it!

Try an Optima battery (Yellow Top I think). Might cost up to £200 (estimate) but these are designed to perform better under conditions you described. These are also marketed for use with big ICE installs which draw lots of power, and I have seen them used quite often with BIG installs, so it's probably not just hype. A company called Autoleads (01420 476767) distibutes them in UK.
