Default Headlight bulbs keep blowing

Hey guys, I run a 2003 blobeye, it keeps blowing headlight bulbs, last set I put in lasted 3 week. Not had any issues with other bulbs on car. The bulbs were off eBay so they might be **** bulbs. Just wondered if any one else has had any similar issues and iv got a underlying problem with car.

As above, the cheaper bulbs tend to be optically inaccurate and the connections inside not well made, or the filament isn't correctly tensioned.

Something else to consider and not sure if it applies these days but what about your regulator not regulating alternator voltage correctly?

Relatively easy to check.

Possible, but a decent halogen bulbs runs BETTER on a voltage which is slightly high, than slightly low, which causes bluing-over.
