I have a set of 6 x 9 speakers (from a previous motor) I'd like to install in the back doors of my 2006 wrx wagon. Is it possible to fit these with some cutting and mounting, to replace the standard 5.25" ones, or is there physically not enough space? If it is possible, does anyone know of a guide showing how to properly fit them?

Depends how deep they are. You'll probably need to trim some metal away, build some custom mounts, lots of sound deadening etc. I'm sure it's possible. Just take the door card off and measure up your speaker.

I don't think I'd bother personally. Depends what you currently have fitted. Might be better selling the 6x9s and spending the money elsewhere.
