Default Wrx bug Dash lights - Odd

Hey there, I know its a basic question, but i have searhced through and apart from threads on how to change the colour of the dash did not find anything that answers my Q.

Basically the speedo light went off, which is ok as i thought it be straight bulb wsap and all will be fine, as its not a rocket science to undo the dash etc

So got to the garage and took out the cluster, took out the little bulb holder with the bulb that looks most central (it looked fine as in not burned out etc) but i replaced that (as i had few knoking around) also noticed that i had one holder completely missing from one of the hole not sure what it was meant to be for but i poped a new holder with a new bulb in there too.

So switched the engine on and lights to check and no lucj as the centre was still barely illuminated.

So i fliped the cluster back again and took the neares to the centre bulb out and replace that. basically to cut story short i think i ended up checking all bulbs and then then gave up.

here is a pic

is there something that Im doing worng or is there a special type of bulb that I need (I used the normal little one that slots in came from honda but thought they all more or less universal)

as you see speedo is illuminated just not the needle.

Help would be much appreciated

did you replace with just normal bulbs or super cool JDM y0 +10hp LED's? The led's would have to go in the right way round just.

5 of the bulbs in the back are for the cluster lights #1/2/5/10/11:

Lookin at the pic i'm guessing #2 is the closest match. Try swapping it with #1 and see if your dark spot moves. You should be able to get the cables in the back without having to get all the screws back into it to confirm.

The higher one. IIRC 5W

I think 3W is also available, going back to when I replaced all mine on the classic.

They also quickly blue over, so if replacing one, do the lot
