Default Spare socket next to boot light?

Hi guys,
I'm going to fit a rear DVR cam in my Hawkeye and looking for a permanent feed for parking protection. I could use the boot light feed but there is rather conveniently a spare socket a few inches from it. Anyone know what it is for and whether it's perm live?
Thanks.

Is it for rear wash/wipe?

Could well be as rear wiper was fitted on the JDM version and would be ideally located for that - in which case, it would be switched. Have now ordered one of those testers on your link as they are very handy with the earth clip
