Hi mate, you can't retrieve the old code.
Do you have the one piece key with the 2 buttons on it.
Have you entered a number into the keypad more than 3 times ?
Does your keypad also have *# WXYZ (it must have all 6 of this list)

Subaru will know the code if it's the original, otherwise there is a sequence to change it

Jamie1989, that's good news.
You can also change the settings on these systems through the keypad: turning the bleep off, auto-locking etc.
Don't normally get time to come on here, but I'm off work at min cause I busted my arm and bored out of my brains.
If you need to know how to change any settings I will try find my list of how to do it, this can also be done through the sigma diagnostic machine, which the dealers have and charge a fortune for as they say it's the only way you can do it.... The liars.

Hi mate, you say you have the #, but if you haven't got WXYZ & the* keys on the keypad it won't work, I thought it was you I had replied to yesterday, but me being dumb it was somebody else with same prob.
I don't know another way if yours doesn't have the listed keys apart from using somebody with the sigma diagnostic machine.

I will check again, and I also need to do the same on my motor, so I will get back to soon as poss,
Prob be after weekend as my motor is at my garage and I'm at home cause I bust my arm.
The WXYZ will double with the numbers : eg 1234, but let me double check,
Once you enter 3 wrong attempts on these there only supposed to lock up for 30 min but I had one what totally jammed up forever.

Arm then disarm using your working fob, then (within 30 seconds) type the following into the keypad:

*17856*92*aaaa*aaaa#

(change the aaaa to the new pin you want)

Arm then disarm alarm with remote.
Within 30 seconds of disarming, type into the keypad-
*17856*92*1111#
Your new code is now : 1111
You should be able to disarm your alarm by putting : 1111
Where you enter 1111 this is just an example( put your own 4 digit number here).
How to change your code...................
Type into keypad: **
Type into keypad: your 4 digit number then *
Type into keypad: 92* then your new code, then * new pin code again then #
Just make sure you enter the (*) and the (#) exactly where I have put them.
If for any reason it won't do it ( had these sometimes) totally locked up due to wrong code numbers entered). There supposed to only lock up for 30 min!!
The only other way is to take your car to someone which as the sigma diagnostic machine.

Unlock your car and sit in it, arm then disarm your alarm, then enter the below into your keypad making sure the LED flashes after each press (don't leave it too long between each button press either)

*17856*92*wxyz*wxyz# where wxyz is your new PIN

Sorry for the hijack, my fob isn't working so can't lock or unlock the car with it, I've changed the battery etc no joy, so basically the immobilisor is stuck on any way I can override it without a fob? I have to run a live from the starter motor to the battery at the minute and it's doing my nut! Any ideas

have you not a working spare fob at all!
if not you need the code for the key pad unless you can get your fob working then you can overide the the alarm by changing pin number to your own..other than that its a trip to a alarm man or subaru..
