Another pros port gauges problem
Ok guys I've got a 53 blob and just bought these pro sport gauges got a couple of questions
1) everyone seems to be using the clock for there power and switch live but when I tested mine it just lit up and stayed lit up without the key in the ignition am I doing sumit wrong ?
2) when I do find the rite way can I use the same place for all 3 gauges for the power ?
3) the little boost box wires do they have to have power going to them aswell ?
Sorry for all the question but never wired any gauges before as every other turbo car I've owned even my old scoob already had them in

I'd use the cigarette lighter for the power.....
And wire all three together but use an in line fuse on red,,,,!
And yep the little box needs power to it to mate
Shame as your not that far but to late in the day,, or could of popped over and I'd have wired them up for ya..

Buy yourself one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTO-CAR-L...item1c209d3025.
It will let you find connections, or even wires, which are live all the time, live only with IGN on first click, and live when IGN on second click, or engine running.
On my Defis, the little boost box takes it's power from the gauges, via the wiring that connects it to the gauges. I would guess that Prosport would be similar?

The cigarette lighter works on the ignition... and also has the ability to turn lights on and off rather than be on all the time....
