Lightbulb Used performance cars

Hi,

I'm thinking about changing the impreza maybe for an evo or a BMW M car. Is there anyone about that would have a good selection of used performance cars? Maurice Lynn used to sell things like that but hes no more.

Thanks.

I think you need to be more specific, when you say used do you mean nearly new? Nearly new would get you a nice M3 V8 for example whereas 5+ years your looking at the e46 M3.

Then with the Evo just like the impreza you so much as fart and there is a new model or limited edition out

Its not the age I'm worried about, I just want to know where to go so I can view a few cars in the one showroom.

Eh?

My comments were purely that you boys read on here, but refuse to post in this section for some reason - fact.

I have nothing to get over (we'll maybe a bit of a cold recently)

Now go and crawl back under your stone again - there's a good little boy.

i've got a bmw 5 series as a run around, build quality and comfort they are a world above scoobs, but no where near as much fun to drive.

i wouldn't consider m3 or m5 in same league as scoobs or evo's (not as in above or below them, there totaly different).

BMW -

+better build quility
+more solid
+more comfort
+quieter
-no as quick off the line
-heavier to drive
-less responsive
-no as chuckable into the corners
=tail happy (depends if you consider this good or bad lol)

scoobs/evo

-build qaulity
-less solidly build
-less comfortable
-noiser
+quick off the line
+lighter feel
+more responsive
+chuckable into corners
=not tail happy

so all in all totaly different cars, so i would say depends what your after. more comfortable then bmw, more performance then scoob

Hey,
I've just come from an Evo 6 to a 06 WRX.

Evo
+ Faster (standard GSR over a WRX or possibly an STI - they are really quick)
+ Rare
+ Don't tend to depreciate as quick
- Drink fuel like you wouldn't believe
- Still have 4.5k or sixth month service
- Insurance group 20 (basic gsr)
- Not as comfortable, in fact it's like being in a race-ready car

Scoob
+ Cheaper to run (honest, I've had a few now, they are)
+ More comfortable
+ Sound :-)
+ Believe it or not, AYC or no AYC, scoob seems more planted - new ones do anyway
- Not as fast

He used to double up finance and rob people too leaving them owing thousands.

Although fairly sure the **** is still selling from his mums house.

I heard he had been helping the paramiliteries launder money and fleecing people over their finance deals. I thought he would have been in the big house by now.

Really?

I just remember a guy in work wanted him to simply sell a car on his behalf.
He wanted 2.5K to sell an 8K motor.

There was a hell of a lot going on there. Some of it he perhaps got caught up in and couldnt get out easily. Others were blatant fraud or greed, stealing peoples money.
Maurice got a couple of sentences both suspended for 2 years for money laundering and false accounting.

Oddly he never got took up on the fraud charges where he had customers sign two finance agreements without actually realising it to two different companies. He left a few people owing thousands. Taking trade ins, but never actually clearing outstanding finance etc

Court was circa June last year.

Bought my first scoob from him, a MY99 UK Turbo 2000 (cash)....lasted 9 days before a faulty MAF blew the engine...was collected on a low loader and returned 10 days later fully rebuilt, so cant fault him........though I too have heard the rumours surrounding the business ( after my purchase I may add )

For what your looking mate your better off with auto trader, various forums and generally just going private. Although there is a dealer in newtownards advertises performance cars through the auto trader and usually has evos and scoobs.
