over heating
hi guys, new to this i had a scooby last year, awd 2.0 impreza, i managed to get my hands on a 1.6 16v impreza, sti lookalike, i noticed pardon my french that she is pissing water looks like from around the water pump, she overheated, with the temp gauge shooting up, i put water in her but it leaked out, but as soon as i put the cap back on she stopped, does anyone think it could be head gasket problems???

Without seeing it, it could be many things. But if you fried it badly..you could end up needing an engine.
Problem is, that with no water in the engine, often the temperature sender wont read correctly, so you have no idea how hot it actually got.
If you filled a boiling hot engine with cold water...thats another bad thing to do. It should always be left to cool first.
You really need to get it to a competent garage to look at it. But it doesnt sound good.
