Just back from uni in Scotland for the week, one thing I've noticed every shell has now become a BP. I didnt hear anything about this but some friends where saying Shell are no longer in NI, was just wondering if this is true or anyone knows otherwise??

 

Its the credit crunch... Nah only joking not a clue to be honest. Hadnt really noticed since BP do BP Ultimate :P

 

I think it was ESSO that pulled out of here,is there not a Shell station on the road out of Larne?

 

i dunno havent been that way yet. Im in carrick and have been in Bangor the last few days and all the shells there and a couple in belfast are now BP's

 

AFAIK the last time I checked there were only 6 Shell stations left in NI...was searching for V-Power at the time Think some of those below may actually be oil distribution as there was definately one in Bangor when we went karting at Eddie Irvines a few weeks ago, and the one on the way out of Larne was being refurbished last time I was past ......

Have most of them not been rebranded "Topaz" ?
The one in Rostrevor Co.Down was rebranded about 2 months ago. It still sells super unleaded

 

As above topaz have been taking over shell and maxol stations

shell served me well buying the super unleaded from them, have dramatically changed almost overnight shell kilwaughter, operating as bp olso now, first i knew of it was when the dumb little blonde behind the counter made me aware of why the pumps wudent pump any super for me ffs lol! and had the cheek to tell me they wudent be selling any for 3months until the changeover was complete.. i soon got on to her manager and give him an earfull as my next super fill from larne was 10 miles away give him credit the girl was new like they always are lol, and had the new pumps wrkin a week after my visit..
