My spec is in my "View my scooby" not a lot as yet, fairly basic mods so far.

It was mapped @ 1.4bar however the peak values recorded maximum boost @ 1.5.

I think the fact that it is only 9.1degrees 2nite really helped.

@ neil, he mapped it again last week 4 me to try and eliminate the turbo surge the K&N is producing.

Looks and sounds good mate. What's the driveability like on her? I've just got the PPP on mine, i presume you went from standard to this without the PPP in between? The torque seems to hold real well from 4000 up, from the memory the PPP isn't like that, it just dies off after it peaks. It looks like it would pull like a train on boost. I'm weighing up what i want to spend "part" of my bonus on early next year!

p.s. Scubbay, that's just ridiculous!

Adam the power lines would b a lot smoother if I didnt have the K&N as it is creating a bit of surge. I think it drives really well but I have not drove a PPP sti 2 compare. I only live in newtownabbey so if u want a spin in her it can b arranged.

I was going 2 go 4 the PPP but thought I could get a lot more for my money by going straight for aftermarket parts.

I'll maybe take you up on that early next year, everyones a bit busy this time of year. I think most people would agree on the skipping the PPP bit, i think the warranty is the big bonus with it. Mine came with it so i can't complain. The thing which got me thinking is an old report in evo magazine from years ago which tested the PPP against various rivals and some big powers scoobys. All the acceleration times etc, i'll never throw them out! The TSL 333bhp/333lbft came out tops and they said it was instantly noticeable how much better it was compared to the PPP car. I've just been curious and yours is pretty similar.

OK, i've a question.

Do AI give any guarantees when they remap the car?

I mean, if 1 week later it goes bang what do you do?

Also what if it goes bang on the rollers, or is the car constantly monitored so that it can't?

AI will only do work they deem 2 be safe. Johnny first mapped my car 2 1.2bar as he said he didnt want 2 push it any further. It was only me baggering him 2 crank it up 2 1.4bar that he did it. As for it blowing up on the rollers, the standard block can handle 400bhp as long as it is not overly abused but 2 get these figures u need 2 do a good bit of mods and when I asked Johnny about getting me a turbo 2 acheive 400 he said he doesnt want 2 take it past 380 on stard internals.

AI have a lot of experience and know excatly what they r doing and play it safe with all the mapping as they know the capabilites.

My car was pluged in2 johnny's laptop so he could monitor it during the run this is why he leaning in2 the car in the video i posted.

hope this answers your questions urban

Thanks,

I was looking at their website - only mentions work done on EVO's, not Subaru's hance the question.

I'm seriously toying with the idea of a remap, but its who do you trust.
Currently I've an MY05 PPP STI

I've recently learned that Performance Subaru bring over Pat Herborne who seems to have good reputation
There's Andy Forrest and Bob Rawle - excellent reputation and from what I gather quite a long queue of people looking remaps.

I suppose in answer to my question, no one will offer guarantee's on remaps. Obviously PPP excluded from that statement.

Also, is the rolling road hard on a car. I suspect not really, but then again I don't really know.

Do AI remap on the rollers or on the open road - this seems to be another big can of worms from reading another thread on here.

Shaun AI carry out a live map which is the best way for all cars as it is mapped as it is drove real time not static on rolling road. There website only shows evo's as this is what they used 2 do the most and they almost always flat out and dont really have the time 2 update the site. When they first mapped my car full boost came in really early and I was having a slight problem with turbo surge due 2 my K&N & as I always have my kids in the car I asked johnny to change for me so that it was a lot smoother but at the same time I begged him 2 crank it up2 1.4bar. He done this and never charged a penny, so i guess u could call this a sort of guarantee.

Also when I first left my car in for the work I asked him to fit a boost controller and a knock link sensor, he didnt fit them and told me that the new age impreza's dont need them and it would b a waste of money so is not after all your money & just intrested in getting the most out of your car.

It is hard to choose who you want 2 map ur motor but there is a lot of reputable companys here which most ppl on here have used so u will get lots of feedback from ppl's experience.
