I think if we can 60 people to sign up to the lurgan park rally there really should be more signing up for this considering the influence and inspiration colin had on most people. A true competetive sportsman who imho put subaru were it is today.
The subaru impreza club,Isdc and im sure many others round the world are talking about black ribbons and posters printed and stuck to car windows in a convoy of respect.

Come on guys any more thoughts to get this organised?

i know the english usually wait a week before they have a funeral dont know about scotland though.Brocks the guys in the general forum are gonna be putting funds raised to a charity with the sale of stickers is this something we are thinking of or just covering the price if the stickers?

will we wait for the funeral details or are most people thinking sat or sunday?

scotland is the same as us 3 days, but it may be longer due to the cause, I was thinking maybe of a run through a rally stage that Colin competed on over here, I know the last rally he competed on was Donegal last year a long with Nicky

This is the first I have heard of this, not seen or heard the news since Friday, don't know the details terrible. Reminds me that I first fell in love with Scooby's at the old Circuit of Ireland in Bangor. You got up close and the Scobby sound blew me away. It was Bertie Fisher then - helicopter, great driver, Scobby. You really have to enjoy it while it lasts!

Default ok guys

i know its maybe not everybodies cup of tea but how about tuesday night meeting at the portside bar and having a wee run as a sccoby convoy into the seacat.at least that way we would have some of us together so we could chew the fat about what we wana do for the passing of this scooby driving legend

i hear theres gona be a rite size crowd down so it would be nice to arrive as a convoy and put up a bit of a show for him lads..

just my thoughts

Default 1991 Circuit of Ireland

1992 was the last time Colin won a rally out right here in ireland, It was the ulster rally and his co driver was derek Ringer in the subaru legacy in the rothmans colours if i recall right. Now Im getting my mate to go through his rally pack for that year and get a list of the stages, just a thought if we wanted to do a drive and take in one of the rally stages central for every one to meet up. Maybe get the isdc boys in on this....

Default RIP Colin Mcrae -Tribute run

Deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such a star and role model

Another great loss from the rallying hall of fame. Big man is up there with the best of them, Burns, Fisher, Park.

Thoughts and wishes go to family friends, collegues.

What about a run through the city center on saturday afternoon or on the day of the funeral??

Tributes can also be left @ Colin McRae MBE 1968 - 2007

RIP Colin. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Definately need to get a date/time sorted for tribute. I'd definately be up for it, I'm sure everyone else would as well.

Ive ordered black ribbon for the cars, rab is in the process of getting 9" x 9" window stickers sorted and brocks is waiting on the general poll on which sticker to go with.
We have had some suggestions like a run from dunsilly roundabout to stormont were the wrc super special stage will be in november and another around lough neagh to take in the 6 counties with some lunch as well and make a day of it possibly sat or sunday lets make this happen guys its worth it.
