wont pass on that year of car mate, but there may be a performance garage that will fit the middle section with cat on for the mot there is one near me that does it for around £40. a remap is also recomended at the same time as a full decat to keep the engine from breaking and to see full bhp gains.

Default ah rite

i didnt think it would pass mot being a 99 car iv heard people say you can get them through with one cat taken out..not to sure about the remap as mine is running oversize pistons already and has had some work on the ecu but not to clear wether it would need done again

not really looking big hp gains(its a sport )but just looking it to be a bit sharper of the bottom ens really.

It will pass in Northern Ireland, assuming the car is running correctly. The Full CAT/emissions test is only for 2001 cars onwards at present.

What age/model of car ?

generally speaking, you are looking at either a new ecu, or some sort of piggy back add-on, unless its 2001+

97 STI will require an aftermarket ecu, or piggyback if you want it "remapped"

im hoping mine will go through cause the old rusty one probably wouldn t go back on to easy, ive heard of a couple other peoples subaru s have went through dead on. the magnex has a wee plate welded on to it saying NOT FOR ROAD USE on the centre pipe might be better taking that off.but it wouldn t be hard
