Was driving to Dublin on Friday on business, and came across the new SPECS cameras.

They start at Sheepbridge and continue until the border.

Drove past one of those mobile matrix speed sign things that the police now put at the side of the road yesterday, luckily the car in front slowed down and we both past it doing 28 in a 30, it was on the Old Belfast Road last night. Are these things just meant to display your speed as I couldn't see any police near it and it was chained to a lampost ?

Don't know what thing is, but these SPECS are very noticable.
Basically you must not exceede the average speed between the two locations.
These two locations could be 1 mile apart or 10. There could also be more than 2 locations as they can be networked together like in the case of the Newry cameras where they've got 6 between Sheepsbridge & the border.

Edit: Guy in work lives on the old Belfast Road.
He says it only displays you're speed, and its been there for a while now inplace of police.
