We have provisionally booked Mondello Park for the 29th August and are looking for 30 to 40 members. The cost will be between £75 and £100 per car depending on the numbers. Anyone who is interested please contact me on 087 8059792 or e-mail alan@555club.com.

Cheers

Question

Alan ,

Count me in for the track day . At my first track day at Kirkiston there were about 8 members of the MX5 owners club driving . They seemed to be very friendly and sociable lot ( unlike the Porsche lot ) . What about inviting them along to mondello to get the numbers up ? I was at a sprint meeting today at Nutts Corner and was talking to one of the members who was competing in his MX5 ( and driving it very well ) . He said that the MX5 club were thinking of organising a day at mondello and I mentioned our track day and he seemed interested . I said I would have to see what the club thought about it first and explained our experience with the Porsche club . So what do you think ?

Derek

Since our membership is now up to over 100 I believe we can do it ourselves. We need 30 cars at £100 per head or 40 at £75. I know it doesn't sound good but if we are short numbers in the end we will have to fill the spaces somehow.........so then I guess all will be welcome. I'll be disappointed if we can't fill the spaces ourselves

Paul.

With less than 3 weeks notice I would imagine that getting 40% of the membership to turn out would be a tough one, might be worthwhile letting the MX5 folks know anyway IMHO of course.
