Hi Guys

Have many of you been to Rally School Ireland, if so what did you think, and what sort of times did you manage?

Has anyone tried any other rally schools, if so which ones?

Hi Shaun,

I have paid for a full days Rallying there in the Escort and the Impreza but have not got around to booking a date. if anyone is interested in going on a certain date I will gladly go along. I have heard that it is well organised. Can't wait to go . I have used the Mondello Park driving school a few times and it was great craic. Only prob is in the single seaters you only have 3rd and 4th gear and a speed limiter kicks in half way down the straight. Still recommend it though.

I have done both the full and the half day course there . It is fantastic fun and you pick up a lot of tips which translate well to road driving . You are not normally timed but I think they can do it if you want . They told me in their experience if people know they're being timed they tend to make more mistakes .
Let me know when you are going as I might call round to watch - I only live 15 miles from it . Mail me off the board if you want .

Derek

Not sure about that, I was timed on my last run in the escort, overall time, 3 laps. Unfortunately it was chucking it down last Saturday, but I managed 4.08 in the escort. In the Subaru it was a different matter, loads of grip and power, my best lap time was 1.18. But I know I can go faster than that, we'll see next time.
