How did the I.S.D.C. meeting go??
#4
Excellent turnout today and some seriously fine looking cars. I think in total about 35 people turned out and a few new members signed up. Rolling road organised for next month and is already booked out. A few heads in Sunny GTiRs also turned out to show us how fast their cars would go and also drew the attention of the Police. Hope to put a face to more names the next time.

Many thanks to all who came.
It was a very successfull meeting and well attended by about 35 cars I guess. It's great to see some fabolous cars and proud owners. We'll have some pics on the site next week I hope.
We covered a lot of issues of interest and it was great to see the attention everyone was paying to the speakers.
The rolling road day is provisionaly booked for the 25th of March but we will be holding another one the following month so don't worry if you can't get in this time as spaces are limited. Your most welcome to come along on the day. More details later.
After the meeting and photo shoot some of us went for a little drive. It's great to see that we can drive our cars in safety and show other road users how grown up we are compared to the GTIR gang etc...... Anyone rememer the guy in the Saxo showing us how fast he was. He passed out our line of 10 scoobs and got flashed by a gatso
Looking forward to the next meeting/day out.
BTW good news on our first track day in mondello park. After the meeting I had a mail from the Porche club and they have the same problem as us with Mondello charging "large" amounts and want to do a joint day.
Plans for the year include.
4 rolling road shootout days
4 track days
Rally School day in monaghan.
4 meetings
Weekend in May with the Scottish SDC
Return visit to Scotland.
Promote the club as a "grown up" respectable club that we are all proud to be members of.
Paul.
