Octane booster
#1
Guys,
As I live so close to the border and petrol is so much cheaper there it is very difficult to justify using Super Unleaded other than v. rarely.(No super unleaded available around Monaghan Border?)Consequently I want to consider using octane Booster.Where is the best place to get it? How Much, etc.

Be careful what one you use as some boosters are not cat friendly ( I assume you still have a cat fitted ) . I use millers VSP Plus but I'm not sure if it's cat safe ( I don't have one - I prefer dogs ) .
Try a search as there was a posting about what ones were safe and where to get them . I buy mine in the local motor factors .

It's not the cat I'd be worried about but the lamda sensor as some of these contain a trace of lead. It may not be enough to cause immediate problems but use over time could be troublesome.
If your in the north contact Jonathan McKeary at Performance Subaru info@performancesubaru.co.uk as he normally has some. If your in the south then I can source it for you.
