my car is finished and I went to pick her up today. it's been laid up for about 3 months now and the battery went flat. tried to start it but no joy .it will turn over but will not fire I think I might be dampness but what outside the usual do I check(spark plugs)
btw. it's a 93 legacy turbo.

cheers john

It's either got no spark or fuel. Check both. Also if it's flooded (plugs sooted up) instead of having to remove all the spark plugs (very difficult) what I did once was remove the front plugs on each side. Then pull out the fuse to the petrol pump and turn the car over. This should dry out the plugs as they are sparking and getting no petrol. This worked for me but I am sure there is more people out there with a better idea than me....Hope this helps...

The trick with removing the petrol pump fuse saves having to remove all the plugs to get it started but if you are doing a full service there's no point..Hopefully you will get it started on Sat.. Also do you know an easy way to removing the rear plugs on either side without deforming your hand?????
