NI Subaru Dealers - Only 5 left?
Anyone else hear that there are now only 3 official subaru dealers in the province?
(Donnelly's Belfast, Eastwoods Lisburn and Eden Cars in Carrick)
Something about IM wanting them all to build fancy showrooms apparently
Does this mean these are the only places we can service our cars
to keep warranties intact? Are these the only places that
can do warranty work?

Maybe you need to establish more facts before you rip into someone like this
To give you an idea, the showroom tiles alone are costing approx 4-5K!

Hold on there a minute - Can't you see the question mark at the end of the sentence? I was asking a bloody question?
I was told this by Beechlawn Motors- who now won't be able to service or do warranty work on my car. If you know differently then please correct the
statement!

So has Eddy Long lost his francise as well then ?
I have noticed recently that he is not selling any brand new cars in his ads in the local press.

Any dealer that has been asked to build a new showroom will have been done so because they fall short of the franchise agreement in terms of corporate image.

And lots of dealers have lost out because they won't spend money on "fancy"(read corporate if you wish) showrooms, therefore being told to **** off.
I understand that there are only five dealers in NI as of now, and the Subaru website seems to confirm this.
McKeary's in Coleraine
Oriental Motors in Enniskillen
Eastwoods in Lisburn
Donnelly's in Belfast
Eden Cars in Carrick.

Franchised Dealers get it in the neck from all angles.....from the manufacturers.....and the customers.
Have a read through some of the threads on here...people complaining about dealers costing so much etc. etc...

Similar garage wars going on down south too. Just been to the garage where i bought my scoob and its now selling anything and everything. When i asked what the hell was going on the dealer told me similar story to above, something about some new European mandate that requires big bucks showrooms but as they only sell about 400 new scoobs over here a year it's not worth their time.Shame and yes we will get shafted on the servicing, just got a quote for 880 yoyos +VAT,nasty. By the way 200,you're wit lacks so give up the smart alec act for the sake of the rest of us

I thought Massey Ferguson was a marque like Subaru with a network of dealers and FG Wilson makes generators!
Stick to the cars Sinky and leave tractors to us country yokels!
Anyhow, enough frivolity, get back to the argument in hand!

Agree on the wheelspin...wanted another go to try a few less revs rather than launching like an animal and loosing time just spinning

Massey Ferg and Lambos are the same - they used to make tractors.... not surprised Beechlawn lost their dealership - IMHO none of them know a thing about Scoobs. I honestly think that Eastwood should be the only dealership. The mechanic is a complete fanatic. The guy makes rligion look like a pastime betweenservices.

Aw well it was late and presumably you were p1ssed so we can understand you were talking out of your hoop!
Think you'll find a few on here who disagree about your findings on subaru dealers too!
