Question Insurance

Yes its that time of the year again, anyone have any good ideas about insurers? Admiral has been my second best quote for the last couple of years and they won't insure me in the STI UK PPP in NI this year
It'll be a while before I get my renewal quote from endsleigh.

Your help would be appreciated

Hi Andy,

And look back at a previous post on here, but there was a broker somewhere in Glengormley (i think) who was getting real cheap quotes.

The Northern Bank believe it or not were also cheapest for a P1 owner.

And Hughes & Co got a mention aswell.

All the best

Andy,

Have you tried quinn-direct?

I just have, and they are quoting me approx £400 less than last years Endsleigh premium!(haven't received the renewal letter from Endsleigh yet)

Plus you can pay in 10 installments.

Yes, but they won't quote me at all.

Spoke to Sandra at Endsleigh, gone up by £300 but as usual they are the best (of about 5 that will quote).

renewal to be paid on Thursday

I was that annoyed that I almost agreed to sell the Feckin' thing last week!!

Andy,

Did you ring them, or try an on-line quote?

Andy

Me Again.

OK - Foget about quinn direct. I rang them up to confirm some details and the first reaction to the words "WRX STI Type UK Prodrive" gained a "Sorry Sir, but we dont cover those vehicles"

OK then, back to the drawing board!

Good luck

Here's hoping on good old Endsleigh for me

Andy,

Have you tried Elephant? Although you probably won't get an on-line quote, they will probably give you one on the phone. You might find that they are cheaper than Endsleigh. Worth a try anyway, although they are part of the same group as Admiral. Good luck!

Around £1500 is the average for a 30+ driver in an STI Type UK or similar,...any more than that I'd shop around,.....any less than that I'd make sure you're actually insured

Thumbs up

Insurance prices will drop soon as Subaru have knocked 56% off their parts prices, thus making the cars cheaper to repair.

Not really they haven't they have reduced the price of SOME parts mostly items like timing belts (which were overpriced to begin with compared to other manufacturers) plugs and items like that....don't hold your breath if you expect ALL parts to be reduced by 56%.

Tried the northern bank, but they wanted £1997 off me to insure an MY02 STI type UK(Prodrive)!

Once they told me that, I didn't even bother to try and talk them down - £750 too much than my renewal fee.
