Just a quick post to say how impressed I was with T7 and their new fan. They took all the unhappy Subaru owners views very seriously and installed a huge new fan with a new air adapter to force air up in through the bonnet mounted vent as well as the radiator at the front of the car. Our day went really well with 2 cars managing well over 400bhp. If you are interested in seeing more figures, pictures and videos then click on the link below. Thanks.

Unhappy

Well now you can see why we were unhappy with the previous setup , it also reeks a little of BS when T7 have previously told peeps the cooling was fine and now they go an update the setup! not tryng to start anything here but i feel it has to be siad...

Im sure the new setup is much better as can be seen from the pics, best of luck to them...

AFAIK as the ISDC is concerned its once bitten twice shy Im afraid... even though it was actually twice bitten, lol as two seperate events @ T7 both filed to live up to expectations...

We now have a much more accesible(for our members in the republic anyway) 4wd RR in Enfield which has already held a small event which was quite succesful...

Cheers

"450+ BHP (Computer calibration not high enough to read power)"

Do T7 have have any plans to upgrade their capability so that they can get accurate figures over 450bhp? What is their current accurate limit?

I noticed the fan in the pics, hopefully it should be a good job.

Was also curious about what seems to be an inability to read above 400bhp, as there were no torque figures for the 300ZX, or the Ferarri, which incidently is quoted has having 400bhp, yet only 276lbft of torque, so should easily get a reading?

I also wonder....was wheelspin a problem for the nissan?? with such a high reading, I would expect it to be a problem. I have been to a couple of big name RR's in England in the past, and had bad wheelspin with only about 420bhp..
The only rolling road I have seen so far, with excellent rollers, and they do claim no wheelspin, is G-Force, near London. When you see the actual rollers, you can see why. They really do have an excellent setup.

Still, the results from the RR day look promising, with most cars returning good results. Excellent coverage by Jon44w too...

Red face

They have the capability to read higher and from what I believe it has something to do with the set up / calibration of the rollers. However I dont know what Im talking about so it would be best to ask them. As for the cooling IMHO it was good before but its even better now. Stevie where did you get the Ferraris torque figure? I never put one in.

I was quoting what Ferarri claim for power/torque, which is 400bhp, and 276lbft.

Sadly IMHO the cooling was terrible at the last ISDC day, a piddly little fan, circulating air around the room (not even a taking cool air from outside!!) and no "trunking" to direct air anywhere... I personally have lost faith in them, not just due to the cooling issues but in the way the information was handled.... but im glad to see they've vastly improved the setup from what i last saw, nice pics too jon

I was told they had trunking to direct air to TMIC's, just wondering why it wasnt used on the Starlets etc in the pics?

I wonder how much power it really has then, if its over 450bhp ????
I recall a few years ago, passing both the nissan ( in black, automatic form ), and a certain very noisy ( but very slow ) escort cosworth who were both racing.......in my mini ....they werent really much of a challenge.

The mini isnt really around too much these days, but perhaps I may meet the nissan for another go someday. Any word on the 1/4 racing yet???

By the way...nice pics of the Supra.....black always looks good
