phoned quinn's yesterday to find out what my renewal price was for

my car MY00 UK SPEC.Got the shock of my life.

Previous year it was just over 800 pounds

This year was quoted over 2000 POUNDS for the same car with no

changes. No explaination was given and was told that was the best

they could do.

Liverpool Victoria in england have quoted 1600 pounds.

Endsleigh are trying to beat this but dont think they can (best

1800) .I'm 33 ,full no claims and clean licence.

Can anyone tell me whats going on with QUINN'S.

Been with them almost four years .

Any comments appreciated.

THANKS MARK

OUCH!

My history with Quinns: £900 to £1200 to £1500 this year.
28,full no claims,clean license.
First year with MY00 it was stolen then 2 years of MY01.

To be honest if/when I get a quote for £2K the Scooby will have to go. FFS at my age I don't really want to go back to paying £40 a week for insurance which I was doing in my late teens!

Guys

Anyone tried elephant?

When I got my UK STI they were 500Stg cheaper than endsleigh who were looking at just over 1800Stg.

Shaun tried elephant but they wanted 2100 pounds for my UK SPEC EU IMPORT.

Asked how much for TYPE UK STI and was quoted 1550

Higher group of car and higher value.

Ended going with LIVERPOOL VICTORIA for 1,603 pounds
If you need a quote from them phone 0800 514514.

It was the best i could find.

Mark.

Read through the Insurance forum on here to put you in a bad mood!

Our insurance seems to be twice as much compared to similar ages/cars over the water!

We still have to catch up a bit on car jackings yet, that'll help us even more!

I lived in Scotland for a while and my SRI 16v Cav was costing me around £400 there over her I was quoted as much as £1200 with the AA. Eventually got it for £700 or so. That was with Priviledge direct, not sure if they still take customers from here though.
