Well I must be the first home so I thought I may as well create a platform for people to take the ****, or in other cases, to justify some outrageous behaviour

What a weekend! Between all of us I think there were 4 spins, 2 armco kisses, and numerous "off's" (Harj!). A good time was had by all. Likewise I am too tired to say anyting creative other than good night...let the pisstaking begin tomorrow... Olly..

Bloody excellent trip, thanks guys especially Mr Quinn.
Still cant believe the crashed / smashed cars and bikes I saw, must say no Scoobies. Was good to put alot of faces to names, meeting the likes of John F, Stef, Harj, Mike R, Mr Squires etc etc.
Friday the track was wet / dry and for a beginner like me was tough going, made even worse when a GT3 came off in front of Mark. Went for a passenger lap in Mikes fire breathing Cossie driven so smoothly it was unreal for the insane speed!! what fun until the rear tyre blew. Saturday was excellent Scooby weather, cold but dry, started the day with a blast in Johns Westie, what a superb passenger lap, thanks again John.
Did some laps myself with the help of Tony Quinn (ace instructor and general beer monster) Saturday night it snowed big time, in some places half a foot of snow. Unfortunately the Ring was closed on Sunday as expected so rather than head to the bar for the Grand Prix, myself and Cheryl, James and Linda and Shaun and Faye headed off to Luxemburg, led expertly by Shaun and Faye we didnt get lost, very unlike me !!! Monday we slept in to find the main group had left without us, at 1pm our mini convoy of 3 cars and a bike headed for Calais, agian doing some silly speeds eh Mr Quinn aka GDI Man...
We hit Calais at 5.30pm after a couple of stops thanks to Lindas map reading.
And here I am sitting in front of my pc totally knackered. Thank you all for making it such a good weekend, top bunch of ladies and gents......
I look forward to reading this post as I know there is so much more to tell !!!!Just dont tell too many people bout my muppet incidents on Friday 13th .......

What a trip…… For my first real track experience I must say the Ring is one truly excellent, fast circuit. I for one will definitely be returning… Even through one or two of you wasn’t happy with the lines that I was taking!!!
I must say after the first hour when the Ring was closed due to that 106 doing a little roll and then being behind a GT3 when it hit the armco I was starting to think that Friday the 13th is not a good day to start my first track experience, but all was fine and I loved every minute of it.
It was really great seeing faces that I already knew and meeting new ones.. I must say a big thanks to Paul and the other chap for sorting out my brakes and thanks to Stef & Harj for bringing some spare ones.. (oh btw I have spoken to Mark at TN about the pads) what a life saver that was.
Thanks to who ever sorted out the Go Karting, I haven’t smiled so much in ages especially when I ran Jason into the tyres…. Sorry J
BIG thanks to my friend Colin from Switzerland for doing all the translating for us even then we still got HAM in the salad
It was good seeing you Colin and Jayne…. Thanks again for the present….
Sorry I didn’t say bye to you all when I left, unfortunately I had to go back early, but next time I will stay to the very end.
Just one thing left to add ….. Colin B I understand that a certain girlie kicked your **** on the track

.....what a sh1te weekend .....you were all a bunch of ***** ....no-one did any drinking and your lap times were appalling.... to think that I graced you all with my presence aswell...(shakes head and walks away)
...on a serious note is was absolutely fantastic...everyone was really cool and got along real well.....no one got hurt and we all got back in one piece...(who'd have thought that sitting broken down in the 22b on thurs am)..it was good to put names to ugly faces (Matt).....and to talk general crap til 5 in the morning (Sal)
we should get a get together b4 the next one in June/July.....
and then do it all over again!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
Back in the land of the living just about! What an excellent weekend. It was great to see you all, and meet some of you for the first time. Some of you are truly nutters, and absolutely made the weekend for me.
We were very fortunate not to have any major incidents, although Harj did complain of a lack of choice on the food front. You wouldn't have thought he ate much just looking at him, would you? BTW mate, the track is the grey sticky(ish) stuff between the grass and the armco! : LOL
Sorry to all those who didn't get a ride in my car!! Yeah, like you really wanted to! It went absolutely brilliantly, and kicked some serious ***! Oh, and did I bore you all with the fact that it's used 3 tanks worth of Diesel to get there and back and do 17 laps? Oh I did? Sorry!
Can't wait for the next one, and I'm gonna have to get some "Ring-Taxi" stickers made up for the Beemer.
See you all soon. Reckon we MUST have a re-union sometime?! Any bright ideas.

Right you bunch of slackers
We arrived back 11.30 after waiting for over an hour at Maidstone services for Harj and Stef.
They claim they missed the off ramp.. Yeah right.....
What a brilliant weekend and nobody got hurt and no serious damage done to any of the cars..
The RS didn't miss a beat all weekend and didn't even require anything other than petrol all weekend..
However.....
Many thanks to Owain for spotting that the RS's suspension wasn't connected correctly The car seems much quieter now that the struts are not floating around loose
My main memories of the ring are
spining all four wheels at 130mph when changing up into 5th
Not being able to see due to vibration when going through the Karossel.
Great to be able to put so many faces to names..
Right too knackered to write any more at the moment but I'm sure that there'll be additions

I was Just talking to a friend of mine who goes to the Ring often and they have a lot of Closed sessions (No Public) days with Wheeltorque. His next trip is in a couple of weeks then again in September, I have asked him if we could all come as well..(in September)
That way we get the track to ourselves for two days..
I will keep you posted.
Ps. He is with the porsche club

I have just found out from my friend that it cost £500 per car for 50 laps over 2 days but you still have to pay for your hotel etc.... damn thats to rich for my blood... I think I will wait until we organise the next trip.
