What a weekend, even without a car. Firstly congratulations to everyone for keeping it all together (both on and off track - with the exception of John F, it's not just his car that is a lightweight) and for what was an overall high standard of driving. Congratulations to the Collie man for driving some blinding laps.

Big thank you to J&C, J&L and Rich_R for their help and generosity. Well done to to the Tool Men, Tim and Paul, whose organisational skills helped out many people during the course of the weekend.

A special mention to Cherelle_"No Fear"_69 who wouldn't drive on Friday but really kicked some **** on her second lap on Saturday. Don't worry Colin, you weren't the only one . I think that I'll avoid being on the same circuit at the same time as Cherelle. Andy, make sure that you collar me next time and we'll get some laps in together. Looking forward to the next one.

Oi CK!

Just clocked your comment. Make sure that it stays that way. Don't worry, you know that I'll be back and better prepared than ever before. I might even get my gearbox fixed now. You never know, I could even buy APs then what are you going to do? No more talk until I have a video to send to you.
Just remeber that all of the panels except one on my car are original(car park incident, not even in the car at the time). 'Til next time matey.

Thanks Cherelle,

It was a pleasure to teach someone who trusted me so much.....Now about that Impreza I'm selling. One careful owner, an old man who only took it out once per week....

It was great to call a corner or brow as flat out and not have the driver stare back at me with a look of utter disbelief shortly before their instinct for self-preservation took over and they hit the brakes. "Keine Angst" as they say in Germany (I think).

The look on Colin's face was priceless as he pulled into the pits behind you and then parked opposite, a classic moment. It's a shame that there was no video in the car, it would have certainly made it into Collie Kisser - Cossiekiller at the Ring, Part 2.

You're welcome to drive my car next time (I think), just go easy on the hotshots. Must find my big book of excuses for not allowing people to drive my car.

What a weekend!!! Blinding stuff. Getting lost on the motorways, running out of fuel, mad Dutchmen (don't ask), maxing out Ian's brand new STi , riding in the RS200 (cheers Ricahrd )beer, beer and more beer

Great stuff - thanks to everyone who organised the trip, especially Harj. Thanks to all those people who gave me rides around the ring - Harj, Stef, Matt, Rich, Ian, Tony, Robin, Sonu, Mr Cookie etc etc and thanks to Ian for the lift down to Nurburg.

Matt - I'll never say nasty things about diesels again

Can't wait for the next one

..and who'd have thought that with all the flash cars down there, the one that stopped everyone in their tracks (including the entire car park at one point) would be a 15 year old white Ford

Cheers

Chris

Vodka Red Bull anyone?

Hey Chris - getting lost on the motorways - nothing to do with SAL-NAV was it - or maybe being the only Muppet that drives to Germany and doesn't even take a map with him.........

Guys - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Thanks for your attention.

I don't have time to read through all the reviews of the weekend right now, but I need some help. Did anyone who was there actually see the crash between the BMW and the yellow Porsche 968CS between Schwedenkreuz and Aremburg. If so the owner of the porsche is looking for some help - please post direct to the ringers list if you are a member, or to me if you are not.

RobinIddon@netscape.net.

Thanks for your help.

Robin

Sal,

Sounds like a simple mistake to make!! Bit like Genk and Gent eh!! No wonder the poor lads didn't arrive with us until after midnight!

Wurzel - the 2km hike was in bloody Holland not Calais

What a laugh though - to be honest I wouldn't change a thing (apart from the weather) - truely great weekend.

We came off the motorway in Holland to find some gas. I reckon where I live is about the same size as the first town / village we came to. There are four petrol stations round here but none out there

Chris.

What an absolutely top weekend!!!

Good to meet up with new faces, and as horrifying as ever to meet up with the old ones

As some of you may remember (well those who stayed ish sober...like me ) Paul and I were booked on a different crossing to get back a day after the heard just to get some duty free in In the end we got it, and how, that night and cought the last crossing...Dover is pretty dull at 12am especially when your sitting 30metres out on a boat that can't dock for an hour because some muppet moored up for the night!

Still, here's the duty free that we managed to cram in to the car...

Along with the spares kit...

And a nasty Belgian road that bent another one of my wheels...

Notice that box of wine on top of the rest...there's a bottle in there each for Matt 'Taxi' Oz, Stef 'Bepe/Colliekisser' Reader, John 'day missing' Felstead, Richard '****' Squire, Owain 'Mr. Fixit' McCrae and Mike 'what's that lead dragging behind your car for?' Rainbird. I think the label says it all about their behaviour

Definately going over to the 'Ring again...hopefully with the same crew plus a few others

Such a shame that a rather large chunk of the duty free has now gone...seems I haven't learnt to stop since getting back

Tim / Slooby

A piccy of my westie with the roof on, a very rare sight.

That road shook the hell outa me. Probably helped in the demise of my mudguard bracket.

How the hell did you fit that lot in the car?

Now then, what day is it again LOL
