Default Need your advice please Karl

Hello mate.

Me and a couple of others are considering coming to the Nurburgring 24 hour race. It would be a flying visit, quite literally. Fly over, pick up a rental car, drive to circuit, watch the race, sleep in car if needed, throw away BBQ and carry out beer, then back to airport and home again.

Have you got any hints and tips for us?

Is it worth going to?
Do they suddenly charge entry fees to ring spectating?
Is it easy to move around?
Do they mind you kipping in ya car?
BBQ's ok?

Plus anymore questions that Davy Boy may come up with ina minute or two.

We will also be back over 25 - 27th Of June for a few more tourist laps. So im sure I will see you then mate.

Any help and tips regarding the 24Hour would be appreciated.

Gary

It is definetly worth going to, a 24 hour party/p*ss up that you will never forget, however, people start to camp trackside from the Monday before the race, lots of them ie. 150k. If you just turn up on the Saturday expecting to sleep in your car you will have a very long walk!! Virtually the whole Nordschleife is lined with happy campers barbequeing, they bring along mobile discos & pubs!!
You will have to pay an entry fee (not much though).
You can move around during the race just try not to step on too many drunk Germans.
You can sleep in your car, no problems but most people don't bother with sleep during that weekend.

Have fun if you go, I'll be watching it as well, from my terrace
