Who's already made arrangements for next years petrolfest?

I want to go with five or six mates, what's the easiest way to go about it? Just turn up on a wing and a prayer or tag onto one of the car clubs who make a regular pilgrimage??

If possible could someone dig out any good website links, I know I asked the same question about a six months ago but this time I'm bloody determined to get down and join in the fun so I'm starting early.

Cheers
Dave

Try

www.club-arnage.com

for a start. Have not been there myself yet but will be there maybe next year.

Keep me updated if you like.

Sorted!!!
Got confirmation from my mate the other day, we're finally going after years of false starts and let-downs!

How happy!

Just need to decide whether to blag a minibus or fill the 2hundy with beer and loo roll and blast down the autoroutes with all the exotic machinery.....silly question really!

will now spend the next 250ish days surfing the many handy hint websites to find out what to take (apart from beer and loo roll!

Cheers

DJfish,
forget the beer and loo rolls. Take nothing. The local Carrefoure hypermarket in Le Mans has everything and it is soooo cheap!
Good crossings are Portsmouth Caen and Newhaven Dieppe (basic ferry).
Enjoy.
Ps It was very hot this year so prepare for a bit of rain next...

Went last year for the first time after a few false starts. Book Early (like now!) to avoid dissapointment. You do need to book both campsites and ferry crossings as they fill quickly in Jan/Feb. By March it gets hard to find places.

"Take Nothing" ? dear me no - Last year we had a generator, satellite dish and TV though I don't think that little lot will be coming this time.

Convoy last year was my Scoob (MY95), Elise, Fiat Coupe, BMW 325Ci,A3 1.8T and a boxster + a bike thing . Drive down and back was mad . We had walkie talkies to keep together.

This year I think theres the Scoob again, though hopefully a MY03 by summer, about 3 Boxsters the Fiat, Mini Cooper S and a few others.

A top top few days.

Does anyone know of any companies that still have packages available? I have tried both Page & Moy (motorsport tours) and through the Porsche Club GB and both are fully booked

Alternatively, if we need to purchase ferry, camping, etc individually where is the best to purschase?

Cheers,

Mark.

You have to book early. I go down with a group of 20 or so (Team Langoustine) and we always book really early. Even so this year we couldn't get seats in the ACO stand and have had to go to the Michelin stand (we like a bit of comfort).

Should have some nice motors going this year....I'll have a MY03 STi PPP and other include a Caterham Superlight R, 911 Turbo, 911 Targa, Honda S2000, Nitrous Honda Civic, Lancia EVO, Lotus Elise, Beemer and great big Merc camper.

This is my 4 year so have seen it boiling hot and freezing cold and wet but it's great fun.
