Free DASH2 PRO installation on V4/5/6
Hi,
We are looking at making an installation kit for the Impreza V4/5/6 as a standard plug and play kit. The problem is that we need a car to do the development on. As such we are offering the installation of this free with a decent discount on the actual kit. The kit would be something similar to what we have done on the Elise, details here:
http://www.race-technology.com/insta...s_2_31435.html
We would need the car for a week or two and it would have to be able to get to our offices near J26 M1. Photos of the car would then feature in our promotional material / website / adverts. If you are interested or know anybody who might be please get in touch.

If we have a good result from the V4/5/6 kit we might well do one for the earlier cars, so I wouldn't give up hope. I was told that the V4/5/6 are probably the cars most used for track days and racing, which is where our main market for these kits is.

Hi Martin
What parameters can they see on the dash?
I'm just asking due one thing earlier Impreza don't have OBD II,just OBD I and later ones V5-V6 although have OBD II
Plug and play should be nice if you want to use with OE ECU,but mostly people over here running aftermarket ECU,which is again to the problem for Dash,we are running Dash2 with Syvecs S6
Good luck

We would connect in to the standard sensors on the loom and use those, so you would get the same data as on the standard dash. If using an aftermarket ECU like a Syvecs then we connect slightly differently, if there is one which is very common then most likely we would have that as an option. We do have an interface for the Syvecs ECU with CAN output, from which you would be able to log / display these.
Engine speed
Battery voltage
Lambda
EGT
Water temperature
Inlet air temperature
Cal switch
rl speed
Oil pressure
Oil temperature
tc spin targ
throttle position
fl speed
fuel pressure
The CAN interface is configurable though so it is generally easy to do custom setups for that. Generally you get a lot more information from an ECU interface but what you actually get obviously depends on having the relevant sensors connected to the engine (Yes I know it sounds obvious, but you would be surprised....)

Hi Martin
As I pointed out above, older Impreza have OBD I which not sure if OBD I can or able to transmit those parameters such as speed, water temp, fuel level(fuel level cannot be displayed,I think must be hard wired),yes I know EvoScan can display and transmit those parameters from ECU
About the Syvecs, yes I know we are running/connected via CAN and have almost everything displayed on the DASH(as above you are said with relevant sensors),its easy to do and with right config files(we have previously problem with Lambda has stuck at 14.5,just due refresh rate has been set to 25hz,we are set to the 100hz and everything is fine)

Has this become a reality? I have a MY05 STI and my PSI3 does nto work on it, I had it in a MY02 STI but it doesnt work anymore. I want to now use a device like this but no one can tell me if it works plug and play on a WRX STI MY05 ECU.

From what I understand a '99 wrx would be in the correct category for what we need, basically either a v4,5,6. I'm no expect on these cars so you will know better than me.
