Default Pod and gauges to replace center clock on 2004 sti

Hi iv got a 2004 WR1 and have seen a few people with the 3 gauge pod in the place of the clock on the dash board.

Iv seen a few kits for £300 which included the 3 gauges, boost, oil temp and oil pressure.

What are these like to wire up?

What kits have you guys bought and which gauges do you recommended with prices please?

Anyone got any pics of the gauges and pods.

Thanks

Hi fella, good question as I'm thinking of doing the same to my 04 wrx Sti only thing is I don't like the idea of glueing/ masticking the pod unit down as it sounds like a bodge job to me, I would have thought Subaru would have brought out a pod unit as an extra? Let me know how u get on, Ian

Am sure most will promote the DEFI's........high quality and with replay and record features Only thing is you might need to double your expected spend of £300 :s

Havnt got a daytime pic, if your interested I will take one for you. The pod is designed to fit straight into / replace the trim that surrounds the clock.

I went for the more affordable option. They are Prosport stepper gauges that work out approx £40 each brand new. The pod was about £45 and I actually cut out the clock from the original panel and glued this pod to what was left of the base. This means that the unit just clips in to place and doesn't rattle or anything.

Hi there

I only recommend ATi Gauge pod or DeFi Gauge pod, those two are best and you don't need anything to glue etc.

Agreed they're expensive,but they're worth the extra

About the gauges Shadow gauges I can only recommend, have them previously and been very happy with them

Here is our previous setup

I think yes,we are still using extra gauge pod which is located on steering column(ATi gauge pod too)

But this has been old spec with those all gauges plus we run NOS gauge and extra fuel level gauge and start up has been like in battleship

Now we running just 3 gauges(Boost,AutoMeter Fuel Level and NOS) plus Toucan and Dash2 plus sensor pack from Tim@JTInnovations
