Has anyone swapped the centre console in a turbo 2000 that has the clock and single din unit over to a JDM one with cup holders and double din? Is it as simple as replacing the gear surround and the centre section?

 

You can swap them over but the A/C and all the other heater stuff is totally different, it's not just a "splice in out" loom thing either.

The radio mounts are also different.

Sorry, should have mentioned that my car is a 97 pre face lift. My heater controls are above the radio section, they aren't part of the centre console at all!
