Yes but what seats do you plan on fitting?

no idea

i've been driving bmw's for the last 10 years - the seat I have now has a real curve to the lumbar region and its pretty hard - did 200 miles today and now my back aches - I just cant sit comfortably - either the lumbar support bushes the base of my spine out if I sit with the seat back upright or I feel like i'm straining my back if I recline the seat back - there seems to be no happy medium for me anyway

are there any subaru ones that are more comfy you can recommend that fit - I dont want anything that's like a bucket seat

Back acre for me is getting worse every week
What ever seats you get make sure they are heated

Quick fix one of those vibrating massage slip over the seat things
Think you can get heated ones too
Try one of those first

Basically any seats out of a Scoob up to the hatch, will fit. Not sure about after the hatch.

I'd suggest trying a few, find one type you like, then breakers or the bay

I've got Hatch Sti seats in my Hawkeye, they are not as hard as the original seats but not as supportive laterally if you like a bit of track action you might be disapointed. I like them, but they wont be to everyones taste. You also need to mod the airbag light.

Do be aware that as the seat gets newer, (classic>newage) they tend to ride higher.
Also they get bigger to allow for lardier folk, so if you like a nice bit of lateral support, the older seats will suit better.

I have STi v6 in my classic and love them.

okay so I read on another site about a seat mod

took me 5 mins and I did another 2 hours in the car today and my back was much better - still needs a few tweaks but it's 100% improved

next I need to open up the side bolsters because i'm fairly wide in the lat area and they dig in but that can wait

I know you say you don't want bucket seats, but.......
The Recaro seats that are in the premium hatch cars and the newer saloon cars are really good.
Yesterday I drove a 270 mile trip, no back ache from me, or the passenger.
Could be expensive though.

give it a go - literally takes 5 mins to unzip, pull springs, try seat, adjust springs, try again, zip back up
