Default Tribeca Problems

Whilst I can appreciate this site is mostly for 'prezza owners, I currently have an 06 'becca which has an issue with its dual control heating, the passanger side works fine, but the drivers side only blows out cold air, no matter what setting it is on. Have spoken with various garages both in UK and in the states, but with little help forthcoming.

Can anyone here shed light on this problem?

In my experience the flap that directs the air on that side is either siezed or has become disconected.Ive seen this on several diffrent cars.
