hello,i have subaru impreza catalunya and i would like to fit the later centre console with the armrest.has anyone any advice about the best way to go about this and also does anyone know where i can get some good quality interior spares?thanks

 

The armrest centre console is held on with two screws right at the front, almost under the centre dash trim, but accessible once the gear lever surround is off.

There are two more screws at the rear, you can see them inside the armrest box, and iirc, two more along the edges near the centre.

It's an easy fit assuming that your gearlever surround is the same, and that the screw holes for the fixings are there.

There are usually decent ones on e-bay, or ask people breaking cars on here.

This one has all parts present including gear lever surround, gear lever gaitor, and mirrors switch. I have used that seller and he's decent.

I got a new one out of a locally scrapped car after mine became scuffed by my Maglite torch stuffed down the side of it.

 

hello alcazar.you were right about this seller,i bought a console of him and a few other parts,good condition and quick delivery.

 

Aye, he's a good lad, lives 20 miles from me.

 

Possibly a dash swap to fit that centre console.

Catalunya is a 97 car IIRC, which has the early dash and gear surround.

At the very least you may have to swap the stereo surround, but, even that may not line up with the dash, and the heater controls are mounted there on a later car..
