Are sunroofs rare on a classic?
As above, I have a factory metal sunroof, UK turbo MY00, without A/c.
But I dont see them on these too often, hence people wanting roof scoops.
So are they rare? I personally hate not having a sunroof.

Not massively rare no. They were a dealer fit option when new.
Seem to be more of wagons - wagon buyers like sunroofs? Owned two wagons with sunroofs.

I think most wagon owners must've specced a sunroof for the added amusement of their Labradors!

Mine was a colour coded metal roof that could be just popped up open or fully retracted back.

You do like to make things harder for yourself
I have thought about it, as I've never been happy with my accident damaged shell, so have thought about a re-shell. If the donor didn't have a sunroof, I'd want to put one in. Which is what prompted me to ask, as I dont see them much.

I've got a dealer fit glass sunroof and dealer fit leather, think the original option was a sunroof or air con, if you wanted both the sunroof was fitted in the UK.

Like almost everything on the UK cars, sunroofs were an expensive extra option.
And we never got things like rear wash-wipe, folding mirrors, decent brakes, etc.
