Question Steering Column Pod

Hi guys,

I've got a version 6 classic (1999) and have a couple of gauges mounted on the steering column as seen here:

I knocked this up myself using pods screwed in to the plastic column cover, but I'd like a more purpose build pod such as this or from their UK supplier on eBay

I've already checked and they do not supply this item for classics, but the plastic cover on the steering column on my car looks very much the same as for the new age.

My question to you guys is, would this 2002 plasic cover fit on my 1999 steering column as a direct replacement, or have Subaru changed the design ever so slightly and therefore it wont fit??

Thanks
Alex

I can't tell you if it will fit onto the classic base section or not but I would advice getting the lower newage part from a breakers to get a better fit.

Hope this helps you a little mate.

I have one, and it doesnt fit the lower cowling on the newage perfectly either! I have bought a PSI3 so was planning on possibly removing it.

iirc Perrin do one of these for a classic for about £100.

Ok guys thanks for that, I was hoping it'd fit as the 2001 classic and 2002 bugs had alot in common... grrr why do Suabru have to change things that really dont need changing.
