How easy and what is involved in changing wrx clocks to Sti clocks

Simple. I upgraded my Bug WRX to Ver 8 Sti Clocks no problem.

Aye is it straight forward from v7 to newer then as there is the shift light and the re flash of the mileage etc. Do we have the loom ready to plug in and is the EPROM chip re programmable

im sure eprom is reprogrammable but havent idea who could do it

mileage is programmable but you need an eeprom programmer and the required software to create the codes, unsoldering it from the clocks is easy on all but the defi style clocks as these changed to a surface mount eeprom that needs specialist hot air station to get it off safely, do a search as I posted some info on it a while back and made my own programmer, although as I fitted defi style cluster I left mileage but proved the method by reading the eeprom on my wrx clocks to prove the programmer I built worked ok. In the end I just lived with the higher mileage on the later clocks.
