Seats for a new 2011 WRX STi
I bought a new 2011 4-door WRX STi with the basic Sport spec interior (Swiss model - Recaros were not an option).
For some STUPID reason SUBARU have dropped their classic bucket sports seat which they used for the past 10 years or more and replaced with a truly pathetic seat which offers no lateral support, in comparison to the old style fitted in the previous Turbo models.
My options are to buy a pair of aftermarket RECARO Speed seats and have them retrimmed in black / dark grey Alcantara & black grained leather (or vinyl - which is what Subaru used on the new vehicle) - OR
get a used pair of the classic old Subaru bucket seats from previous turbo models and have them retrimmed (prob in UK and ship over).
Q: BUT - do the older Subaru bucket seats fit the newer (2011) model ?
