bucket seat support bars,help needed!!!

Question bucket seat support bars,help needed!!!

hello,

what is a recommended size of mild steel box section u would use tt make a support bars for bucket seats mounts,any advise welcome

Best bet might be to go with a size that your local metal stock-holder is going to have plenty of, so something like 3mm thickness 25mmx25mm box. Should be plenty strong enough to take weight of seat and driver, and thick enough not to distort when drilling bolt holes or welding on flanges.

Will be relatively heavy though.

thanks for ur advise i got my self box section which is 30mmx30mmx3mm,just to be on the safe side,going to weld them in on a weekend
