UK MY99/00 heater controls, swap to JDM

Has anyone swapped the nasty looking uk heater controls for the jdm sti ones?

Is it possible, or (as I suspect) do you have to change the whole motor control box and wiring?

Why do you want to, trying to go double DIN?

Only reason is because the jdm setup looks a lot better. I hate the sliders on the uk setup, looks like something from the 70's

think the JDM ones were climate control rather than just heater controls James...interested to see how you get on as I'm of the same opinion

Has anyone attempted this? I am thinking of doing it. I guess i need heater control, surround, heater matrix and wiring between cotroller and matrix... or is there more to it?
