Default lockwood dials fitting

How hard or easy is it to fit a set of white dials to my 94 impreza. Ive been told to not touch the needles as they are very easy broken and any pics ive seen of the dials it looks like you have to remove the needles to fit them.

Ant help or advice will be greatfully recieved.

Wayne.

be very careful as the needles are easily broken.
the hardest part is you need to use a sharp knife etc to splice the fuel and temp gauge backing to remove. once there off the res is easy.

just be careful

agree with that... they do look really good for a cheap mod but i broke my fuel needle fitting them so needed a new dash then on the next one i got the fuel on but can't get the rev needle back working right......
i'd consider it carefully.. i don't think i would bother again ... unless i was feeling very patient

the only reason im fitting them is my dash only reads mph now and for the mot I need to show kph as well. I thought about just fitting a sticker inside the mph but thought it would look rubbish. Ive ordered a set of lockwood dials so I will study them before I attempt the fitting. I was told that there was a slit to fit them without removing needles but you cant see one in any pictures. Thanks for the responses lads.

i found it easy, although i had previously changed them in another car i am sure they come with comprehensive instructions, just be careful with the needles.

i bought the plasma dials. no need to touch the needles as they are flexi, very easy to fit & wire up. You can also have them blue or green illumination & have a dimmer on them i also had the heater dials to match.

i bought mine straight from here: http://www.visual-performance.co.uk/

they also sell on ebay as chromemanics
