Tired classic needs help
Hi All
I have a 97 UK car with 150K+ miles and the interior - mainly the front is a little tired.
Wondering how best to brighten it up a bit. By which I mean:
Drivers seat base bolsters are soft and seat inlay (grey) & door panels are dirty.
Have baby on the way so Im thinking leather is kid proof.
I know front seats fit from later cars but the rears are fold down so I'll probably have to get them recovered to match anythiing I get for the front.
Any ideas much appreciated
Cheers

How long's a bit of string?
I have a 98 classic. So far I've done the following:
Full set of Sti V6 seats, front and rear, losing the split/fold.
Just bought a set of doorcards from a V5/6, blue trim instead of grey. Fitting today.
Steering wheel from a WR1.
New/second hand centre glovebox and gear stick surround, mine was scuffed.
Red leather gearstick gaitor.
The seats from later cars fit, the fronts, some people don't like as they say they feel "too high".
You could remove the doorcards when the weather gets warmer, lay flat and wash/scrub the grey cloth trim, leave in the sun to dry. It makes a LOT of difference. I've used household cleaners like Mr Muscle and a wet cloth to rinse it, with a bucket of clean hot water.
If you are going to stick with your seats, remove them and have them professionally valeted. They can clean them deeeper and they dry quicker OUT of the car. Removal is a 15 minute job. Had mine done prior to fitting.
Carpet benefits from a good clean while seats are out too.

Already tried the door card thing, scrubbing, steaming etc... still look tired, I think I need to recover the inserts.
Do the rear seats from later cars fit? or just the fronts?
