I have some replacement recaro type front seats for my Suburua, 2nd hand. I need help/advice, Any tips/tricks to swapping them over, Is there anything to watch out for.

Is it a one man job or is a mate required?

Any advice tips welcome.
Thanks

Hi

As long as they are from another Impreza, changing the front and rear seats are dead simple (non bug-eye to non bug eye, year immaterial) though rears have to be the 4 or 5 door ones to match your car. Just unbolt the old ones and bolt the new ones back in I did all mine in less than an hour by myself and that wasn't exactly rushing!

There's some pics of mine done at http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=86664

Hope this helps

Someone (don't remember when) mentioned a Nut under the car, which may require a spanner on it, to allow the bolt in the interior to come lose? Does this sound familiar, or do I need an accomplice to remove the bolt?

Thanks again

4 bolts per front seat, 2 at the front, 2 at the back, thats your lot. The most difficult bit is maneuvering them in/out of the car.

Tony, are you talking about the sub frame, or is it just the seat it'self?, Because, when i did mine, i had 5 bolts on the frame and four on the actual seat

4 bolts that attach the seat to the runners (subframe ?). Apologies if any confusion caused.

Has anybody had Rivets instead of bolts on the back of the drivers seat attaching it to the subframe? it does sound very unusual to me
