Default Annoying squeak from my belt!

Hello...

Just one of these annoying things really. Decided to tackle it today and go crazy with the WD40 but it hasn't sorted it it's coming from the section above the seat, you know, when you pull it...

Has anyone else had this? Do you actually need to take the mechanism apart

Remove he lower part of the b pillar, the part the belt comes out of. On the back are horizontal ribs. They can all be cut off with a craft knife. Voila squeak gone.

Easy job, did both sides in my blobeye in under 15 minutes using a leatherman. The cover is only held in with 1 Clip/plug then it pulls off. Just trim the top strengthening bar - you'll probably find it's thinner than the rest and quite sharp. No need to sand it flat or anything just cut the majority of it away.
