Default Clocks out of sync

Hi all,

when i bought my my95 jap import i drove it home down the m1,

i was crusing at a solid 70mph however i was over taking everyone.

I have since realised my clocks are out of sync, when my clocks show me as doing 25mph i am actually doing 30mph and when it shows me doing 60mph i am doing 70mph. Could this be from when it was converted to mph? it has silver lockwood dail faces on it.

how can i correct this? has anyone had this problem

Could be down to how the needle was replaced when the Lockwood dial face was fitted. There have been numerous posts on here about problems caused by them and their fitting, there was one just last week where the guy ended up junking them, destroying his old clocks and having to buy some more off e-bay, total cost was £135 to get nowhere

You could TRY removing and refitting the speedo needle, but be advised it's NOT easy and even harder to get back right.

New clocks might be your answer too

Is the profile of your tire correct? I don't know what size it should be, but if you post up someone will know
