Default 6 point harness fitting - opinions

It appears that most who use harnesses mount the shoulder straps down to the existing anchor points behind the rear seats.

Is there any reason why the shoulder straps can't be fitted via eye bots and a backing plate to the rear parcel shelf? thus keeping the straps level and not at a tight angle.

Not bothered about loosing the back seats or cutting into the parcel shelf

I'm using the harnesses with a fixed back bucket seat.

the lap straps will be fitted back to the side mounts and the crutch straps to a bar underneath the seat.

thoughts appreciated

Cheers
Rob
