Default lightswitch on import

Hi All.

I have been over to Your territory to pick up a 97´ Import STI Type R,
And i can see that the flasher switch is on the rightside,of the steeringwheel
as i´m used to LHD and plan to change this car into a LHD,
I would like to know if this is a import thing only, or is this also the case on the normal UK cars?

and if the flasherswitch is on the lefthand side,on the UK model, do any of You know, if the plugs fit, so i just can buy a uk switch?

Thanks,
Skassa

****.

You Guys dont know if you use your righthand or lefthand,
When activating the blinker/flasher switch to make a turn on the road,
that is indeed a bit dissturping
