Evening all,

Not sure if this is a daft question but I've only been an Impreza owner for three months so bear with me...!

I have a 2002 Impreza (bug eye) and this evening when locking up my car I noticed a flashing red light on the dash in the shape of a key. Now I know this is lit when the key is in the ignition but I cannot recall seeing it flashing when the car is locked up before! Is this normal?

I'm not sure if it's trying to tell me something but I have no user manual for the car...just bought one from ebay for future reference!

yes its perfectly normal to flash when the cars locked its just to inform you the key is not present in the ignition, when you insert the key it will stop flashing

 

Ah, thanks rob84. It must be the darker nights that the light is showing up more now!
