Advice & ideas on dash holes, plus general interior spruce up
I am torn at the minute on what to do with the interior in my pre facelift import WRX. Basically, when I bought the car it had a massive, god awful rev counter drilled into the dash (directly above the vents) and a really poor boost gauge install above the steering column (no drilling through). Heres a pic when I got it:
Now, my original idea was (considering I already have holes), to replace the rev counter with a 3 gauge pod. However, as there isn't a custom version for this model I was thinking of something like this:
First of all, anyone actually tried one of these universal jobbies? Do they look cack?!! If there were no holes I would go down the A-pillar route and just have a tidy boost gauge install, but then there are these bloody holes!!
I have thought about a big air freshener (poppy coral or similar) , non slip dash mat or halfrauds dash repair, can anybody think of any others???
the other thing I am debating over is the lockwood white dial & white heater surround kit (with white face gauges). Anyone got this fitted and can they comment on their opinion once installed?
The list goes on, but top of the list is defo those holes! Cheers guys

PROPOSED UNIVERSAL POD:
As for making my own, I am nowhere near that skilled unfortunately! Would definitely need to be something out the box
